THE RUINED MAN WHO BECAME RICH THROUGH A DREAM

The ruined man who became rich again through a dream.

1001 NIGHTS- Translated by John Payne. Vol 4. (C)1884. (Pg 134-35)

There lived once in baghdad a very wealthy man who lost all his substance and became so poor that he could earn his living by excessive labor.
One night he lay down to sleep, dejected and sick at heart, and saw in a dream one who said to him, "thy fortune is at Cairo; go thither and seek it".
So he set out for Cairo But, when he arrived there, night overtook him and he lay down to sleep in a mosque, presently, as fate would have it, a company of thieves entered the mosque and made their way thence into an adjoining house; but the people of the house being aroused by the noise, awoke and cried out, whereupon the chief of the police came to their aid with his officers.
The robbers made off but the police entered the mosque and finding the man from baghadad asleep there, laid hold of him and beat him with palm-rods, till he was well nigh dead. Then they cast him into prison where he abode three days after which the chief of the police sent for him and said to him;
"whence art thou?" "from baghdad" answered he. "And what brought thee to magistrate" quote the Baghdadi " i saw in a dream one who said to me, thy fortune is at Cairo; go thither to it but when i came thither, the fortune that he promise were prove to be the beating i had of thee."
The chief of the police laugh, till he showed his jaw teeth and said, "o man of little wit, thrice have i seen in a dream one who said to me, there is in baghdad a house of such a fashion and salute so-and -so in the garden, whereof is a fountain and there under a great sum of money buried. Go thither and take. 'yet i went not; but thee of thy little wit hast journeyed from place to place on the faith of a dream, which was but an illusion of sleep"
Then he gave him money saying "this is to help thee back to thy native land"
Now the house he had described was the man's own house in Baghdad; so the latter returned thither and digging underneth the foundation in his garden, discover a great treasure and (thus) God gave him abundant fortune.

LESSONS!!!
God in the old, usually speak to men through dreams. And God has not change, he's still the same and he still does that till now.

1. Believe in your dreams.
2. What you need is in you and around you. Many tends to look outward rather than look inward. A wise man said "you can make it from were you are with what you have", look inward!
3) Never despise or overlook a dream.
4. When God gives you a vision, a dream or an idea, when you fail to worked on it or trade it (matt 25v14-29) he takes it from you and gives it to another. Never neglect your dreams, vision or idea. Every vision has an appionted time and place (habk 2v3) if not pursue will be loose
5. No matter how big your dream, vision or idea, it will be tested and tired, if its a gold. But be persistent, never give up. Challenges will come on the way, but always remember that to claim your promise land, you must cross the red sea, and you must fight with the inhabitance. Before every david, there is a goliath, so runing away from challenges is runing away from your crown and throne. So face it, fight it, if its God that gave you the vision, then the victory is your already.
6. Also note you have to take actions, to go and to seek.
7. You will be mock. Until you are mocked, you can,t be made.
Finally, if you have a dream, pursue it till you get it. GOODluck.

Advice dad gave me that shaped my life–Doris Gam-Dede.

Advice dad gave me that shaped my life–Doris Gam-Dede.

Advice dad gave me that shaped my life–Doris Gam-Dede
Tell us about your background
My name is Doris Gam-Dede.  I am from Bayelsa State. I was born into a family of three sisters and a brother. I was also born a twin. I attended the University of Port Harcourt where I first bagged a certificate  in Theatre Arts. That same year I applied and got an admission into same university to study Fine Arts  and Design. After four years of study, I  practised my profession for four years with three sole exhibitions tagged, Celebration of Womanhood, where I saluted women who have helped change my life, and have done very well in their fields of endeavours.
They are the like of the former First Lady, the late Mrs. Stella Obasanjo, Fifi Ejindu, Joke Silver, Mrs. Ruth Benamesia-Opia, Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Madam Doris Fisher, among many others. After which, I became bored and found myself wanting more. This finally led me to start making clothes.

You won the young designer award recently, what influenced this?
It was a well put together show that met international standard. This was the first time I heard international added to a name in Nigeria and it lined up to the expectation. From the organising, the whole event started and finished well to an international level. I thank God for it because it actually brought someone outside Port Harcourt to know my design. I wouldn’t lie, there were many talented designers that showed up. I knew it was going to be a problem choosing the winner but I distinguished my clothes from other designers by adding beauty and a lot of colours to my clothes and I think that was how the judges picked me out. I introduced my artistic background into the clothes and that actually pulled me out of the crowd.

What kind of design do you make?
I do wearable clothes for urban chic, you can wear them any moment. I actually design for women.

For how long have you been designing?
I have been doing this for four years. I studied Fine Arts. I practise painting. It took me another four years to get into designing and I’m really happy that one of my prizes is a scholarship abroad to study because I will proudly say that among the designers, I was the only one who didn’t get formal training. I started fashion just at the back of my own hand. I’m happy that now I will get the chance of an international training. I thank God that it all worked out for good for me.

No formal training, how did you start?
I actually see myself as being blessed with my hands. I have done it all. I have done painting, interior decorations, I just finally settled in fashion because it’s now a big thing in Nigeria if you know what you are doing. I started learning how to sew by pulling out things that people have done before, especially ready made clothes, pulling them apart and putting them together.

Why did you choose the name ‘Jazz Effect’ as your brand?
Adding to the fact that I am an artist, I love music. When the word Jazz came, it came from rhythm, music and people who know me when I was in school knew I like to form circles. That was how I learnt how to sew. I would have a pair of jeans; I would rip one part off and add ankara. I will never wear my clothes the way I brought them from the shop. The effect came from that explanation. I used rhythm, music, Jazz, and then I added effect to it.

Could you tell us about your growing up days?
I grew up in the streets of Port Harcourt where not much was expected of a young girl. Most girls of my age had just prayed to finish secondary school so that a rich man will come along to marry them, but at that young age, I knew I wanted more out of life. I knew I wanted to be a boss, never waiting to work for any one. My dad, who was a strong figure in my life, had always told me and my sisters to work hard and be successful because  nothing was going to be handed to us. It stuck with me and made me who I am today.

What are your memorable moments?
The most memorable moment in my life was when I lost my dad. I say that because he was my hero, and he is not there to enjoy the fruits of his labour.

How do you see your brand in the next five years?
I see Jazz Effect doing more international shows, giving me the opportunity to showcase Nigerian fabric to broader audience. As an entrepreneur, I believe you must be ready to work hard, make good business risk to take your  business to the next level.

FACE TO FACE MY BEST FRIEND SNATCHED MY HUSBAND. GLORIA MBA

Gloria Mba: Face to face with best friend who snatched my husbandhttp://sunnewsonline.com/new/entertainment/gloria-mba-face-face-best-friend-snatched-husband/

Gloria Mba: Face to face with best friend who snatched my husband
By Christian Agadibe
Gloria Mba is not just a beautiful actress but she is also a resilient diva who doesn’t allow her past to wear her down. Exactly a year ago, the thespian confirmed that her marriage had crashed after she caught her best friend allegedly “having phone sex” with her husband. The Entertainer went after Gloria to find out how she has been coping after the sordid experience. And she revealed a lot, including her encounter with the ‘marriage crasher’. It’s a Sunday delight!
What makes one a good actor?
What makes one a good actor is when you understand the job and understand the character you are portraying.  For instance, you must have good vision because if they give you the role of a doctor and you don’t know anything about medicine you can’t perform the character. Moreover, reading books about medicine alone won’t be enough. You have to become a doctor by putting yourself in the character.

How do you master and deliver your lines?
I wouldn’t use the word ‘memorize’ because when you are in secondary school you have to memorize many things. But for acting, you just have to understand the character you are given. If you decide to memorize then you miss a couple of things, read the script and understand the character very well.

Did you have any formal training before coming into Nollywood?
No, like I was telling a junior colleague recently, as a child I wanted to be a broadcaster, I didn’t read anything about it. I have a diploma in Public Relations, I didn’t know anything about acting but because of my love for broadcasting I had to go into acting.

Did you have any problem coming into the industry?
I had a lot of challenges, I used to have problems pronouncing certain words, but gradually I was taught how to pronounce those words clearly. I had to work on talking fast and reducing the pace of my speech. I also worked on my dressing because the young ones look up to me.  So, all these were the challenges I faced.

You have been in the industry for a decade which movie brought you into the limelight?
The movie that brought me into the limelight was entitled, Together As One. It wasn’t easy being in the midst of top actors like Emeka Ike but it was fun. Also, there was this movie I did with Genevieve Nnaji and Jim Iyke entitled, One Love.  After that I said to myself ‘yes I can do it. I can make it in the industry’ because I was really encouraged in those movies.

Would you now say you are successful?
I am comfortably successful because as you grow older in the industry you grow wiser, you know what is right and wrong and I wouldn’t say I have gotten to my peak, but I am comfortably better.

Who do you look up to as your role model in the industry?
Some years back, I used to say people like Genevieve because I love her as an actor. The woman that brought me into the industry, I was always looking up to her. But today I would say my mother and God are my role models.

Who really is Gloria Mba?
I am friendly. I love my family and friends. I love meeting intelligent people. I am a very crazy girl but friendly (laughs),

What is the craziest thing a fan has done to you?
I was kissed in the church; I don’t know if it was excitement. I went to a church and a fan was surprised to see me, he ran to me and kissed me, I couldn’t believe it.

How was your growing up like?
It was beautiful; I had fun. I grew up in an average home. My father loves kids so much. He sent me to a military school because he had always loved military school. My secondary school was also fun. I used to dream of being a broadcaster. Also, I wanted to be a sprinter and run for Nigeria, but my father hates anything sport, and because I argue too much, he said I should go for law.

What are your likes and dislikes about Nollywood?
There is peace in Nollywood now and I like it. The dislike is that some people are cheating others in the industry. It is bad in the sense that they rob you of your merit, giving you a particular amount for a job simply because they want to make money off you. It’s bad and I have seen a lot of people complaining about it.

What is your most embarrassing moment?
The day my father chased me out of the house because I came back late from work. The whole street gathered and begged him before he could allow me into the house. It’s very embarrassing because as an adult I’m supposed to know what I’m doing.

In the industry today, most actresses give out their bodies for role…?
(Cuts in) Truth be told, some girls give out their bodies to get roles. Many of them that are coming up do this, but after giving out your body what next?

How did you meet your first love?
It happened one Sunday when I went to weave my hair, I was in secondary school then, and both of us met.

What is your advice for young girls who look up to you?
They should know what they want. A lot of people will come to you and ask for sex and it’s your choice. So, be focused, know what you want and what you came to do and if you want to date, make sure you pick someone that’s good. There are a lot of good guys in the industry.

Have you encountered lesbianism in Nollywood?
Yes, I have and I was very firm with them. We can be playing but when it gets further than necessary I won’t tolerate it. When you are not a man, why should you be touching my sensitive parts? What do they see in it? But it’s their choice. I am not against them; just don’t come close to me.

A lot of marriages break up in the industry, how do you intend to safeguard your next marriage?
From my experience, I have learnt something and I will use that as a yardstick. All marriages can never be the same but I have always wanted to be a wonderful wife.

What is your ideal man?
I love a man that is well dressed.

What’s now the relationship with your best friend who allegedly ruined your marriage?
I haven’t spoken to her for more than a year. I don’t have anything against her; God is my witness. I saw her once at Shoprite in Surulere. I don’t keep grudges for long, because if you are holding down someone, you are holding yourself down too. I wish them all the best

A EFFECTIVE WALK WITH GOD

THEME: THE CHRISTIAN WALK

TEXT:  Matthew 16:24

The Christian walk is a choice and it is a three-fold mission journey.
From our text in Matthew 16:24, Jesus said
“Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any [man] will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.(KJV)
The “if” there signifies a choice, or an option (check also, Deuteronomy 30:17)
Therefore, the first and most important step in the Christian faith for an effective Christian walk with Jesus is self denial.
Secondly, taking up of your cross
Thirdly, following Him
There are step to step movements for an effective walk with God and they have to be orderly followed one after the other. That is to say if you don’t deny yourself, taking up of your cross and following him is useless.
That’s why in this series of our teaching we shall be talking on the topic SELF DENIAL. First of all, what is self denial? Self denial is not a religious practice and is not performed for personal spiritual benefit.
Self is simply flesh and deny from the Greek word is translated “to say no”. I rate this as “a must-have” key for spiritual growth.
In the Winners’ family, it is our season with encounter with power; but you can never grow to realm of power without a successful and effective Christian walk and that can only start from a self denial.
Now what is self denial? From our breakdown we understand that self is flesh and deny is to say no. so simply put self denial is to say no to the flesh. Why are we saying no the flesh you may ask, it is because the self itself profited nothing, John 6:63 so will you rather partner with what will profit you nothing? My pastor said to me recently pastor George Opia “the greatest obstacle to man’s growth spiritually is the flesh." Why, is because to be  carnally minded is death and to be spiritually minded is life and peace (Roman. 8:6).
Now why will Jesus ask you to deny your flesh, was He not the one that gave it to you? The flesh is to help in our existence on earth not in our dependence. That is why Paul said in Philippians 3:3 “…and have no confidence in the flesh”. Why? Because they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh Roman.8:5. And the work of the flesh are manifest: adultery, fornication, uncleanliness etc Gal. 5:19-21. God wants us to live in the flesh Ezk. 37:6 but not to mind the things of the flesh. Since God is a spirit, and we are the Children of God, we are to mind the things of the spirit Roman.8:5, John 4:24 “For as many that are led by the spirit of God, they are the sons of God Roman. 8:14” This is because the carnal mind is enmity against God because it is not subject to the Law of God. So if you want to be a friend with God and to walk with Him you must be spiritual rather than carnal.
Reading an article of Tom Terry: The Buddhist Error of self denial: What does the Bible teach?
11/24/10
These were the great points I got which I like also to share with you “True self – denial put down our own hopes, desires and goals to submit to God’s will, or the desire, hope and goals of others”. Luke 22:24, “saying, father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me; nevertheless not my will, but thine be done. Also Paul  in Act 20:24, Paul was a man that denied himself totally for Jesus and His that work, and that was why highly efficient and effective “ But none of this things move me neither count I my life dear unto me”
Also in Philippians 1:21 he said “for to me to live is Christ and to die is gain." It takes a man that has truly denied self to say that. As Christian we should die to our flesh daily, when nothing means anything to you except Christ.
Self denial is not an end unto itself; it indicates we are therefore growing in love for God and for others. Denying oneself for oneself is not an expression of selflessness rather a misguided expression of selfishness 1Cor 10:23-33, 1John 3:16” selfishness is what brings about self-foolishness, but selflessness brings about self-fullness in Christ and when you are full in Christ, you are out of crisis into a realm of surprises. That is you become a wonder to your world. Matthew 19:29, 6:33.
“Self denial reveals and tests our love for God and it must cost you something. Genesis 22:1-13, 1samual 23:17-18, 1corin 9:11-23, exodus 34:28, 2samual 24:24 and psalms 132v3-5”. Although scriptures every man that was truly selfless were all refer to as friends of God e.g Abraham, David, Paul and even Jesus. Why? “Because no man having put his hand in the plough and looking back is fit for the kingdom of God” Luke 9:62  Jesus had to deny himself and his throne just to come down and die for us. Peter had to denied is master is sworn to behold even in the face of a little girl just because he had not first deny himself. Matthew 26;69 but he was baptize with the Holy Ghost he was able to stood up in the midst and declared boldly that same Christ in the face of many Acts 2:14-41.
You can never love God or others as Jesus commanded Matthew 22:37-39 without first denying yourself. So love is all about self denial. “As a manifestation of love, self denial has certain conditions, which is, it must be selfless. Self denial exercised to gain some king of spiritual standing is merely the replacing of one’s personal desire or goal with another. It is nothing more than a “trade” as oppose to a true self denial. Self denial without love is a self denial without substance and is meaningless, therefore self denial is a loving expression and benefit for others in obedience to God. And it is truly impossible to express love for another person without denying oneself in deference to the other person. And to do this who must also say no to the flesh “he that fineth his life his life shall lose it and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it”. For what shall it profit a man if he gain the world and lose his soul. Matthew 16:26
Hints: To truly denial yourself you must embrace the Holy Ghost. Paul said “but by the grace of God I am what I am” 1 cor 15:10. Cry always for a fresh out-pour, Isaiah 32:15
Before I say goodbye on this series I will love to say this; should in case you have not made that choice of making Jesus your friend, what are you waiting for? Do that now, turn to Jesus and be saved. But for you all who are believers, the Holy Spirit is our helper for a victorious living, so embrace Him. He is the one that makes Christianity a divinity through spirituality. Roman 8:26 “ likewise the spirit helpeth in our infirmities”. What you need to say no to the flesh is to walk in the spirit. Galatians 5:16
Till we meet again, it’s a goodbye from me.

JIM IYKE'S DELIVERANCE REPORT.

Jim Iyke’s deliverance: Real or fake?

Jim Iyke’s deliverance: Real or fake?
Nollywood stars react
By Damiete Braide & Christian Agadibe
Ever since the video clip of Jim Iyke’s deliverance session at Pastor TB Joshua’s Synagogue Church of All Nations went viral on the Internet, it has been generating a lot of controversies.
While some think it’s genuine, others see it as a publicity gimmick by the actor to revive his career. The Entertainer went to town last week and sampled the opinion of celebrities.
Excerpts:
The deliverance was real –Tee Ma
That’s rubbish. Most Nigerians have bad minds. I was at the Synagogue and I witnessed Jim Iyke’s deliverance; he was delivered of an evil spirit. Those calling it stage managed are insulting the integrity of the Man of God. TB Joshua was not even around when he was delivered. It was the Wise Men specially trained by TB Joshua that performed the deliverance. Those who say it was stage managed are simply ignorant and have bad minds.
A prophet is not respected in his own town-Chief Zebrudaya, actor, New Masquerades
I have been delivered at SCOAN before and I can tell you that Jim Iyke’s deliverance was not stage managed. Whoever is saying that Jim Iyke was paid millions to feign deliverance is obviously ignorant and does not know who TB Joshua is? Those doubting Thomasses should come and experience The Man of God. A prophet is not respected in his own town.
It is none of my business-Gloria Mba, actress
Seriously it’s a personal thing. If the need requires me to do it I will not hesitate but I wouldn’t make it public. Whether it was stage managed or not is none of my business.
I have been delivered myself –Ejiro Okurame
I am not scared of deliverances. I have done deliverance at Mountain of Fire & Miracles Ministry. It is a good step for moving closer to God. There is no public figure as famous as Jesus Christ.
I am not sure Jim Iyke faked it –Emmanuel Naomi, actress
It`s good for one to get delivered from evil spirits when the need arises. I wouldn’t hesitate to go for such if the need be. It is a matter of choice. I am not sure Jim Iyke was faking it; God knows better.
Let God be the judge –Thelma O`khaz
We are all sinners in the eyes of the Lord. I am happy Jim Iyke has found God and is delivered. If I see the need to do that, I will definitely go. If he actually faked it, then we should leave him for God to Judge.
I don’t understand all this –Laide Bakare, actress
I am not a Christian but a Muslim so I don’t understand what this is all about. I am only hearing it now. Really I don’t know what deliverance means.
I am yet to come terms with it –Muma G, actress
I am yet to come to reality with that and I am not sure how real it is.
Deliverance issues are personal –Charles Novia
I’m not insulting anyone. I just feel that ‘deliverance’ issues are personal. It should not be done with cameras and klieg lights. Demon na star?
Segun Arinze blasphemed –Ken Okafor
There is nothing wrong in Jim Iyke going to meet T.B Joshua for deliverance. Anyone of us can go there so people should stop criticizing him for his actions.

HOW TO PROGRAM YOUR MIND TO THINK RIGHT.

There is always a right way to think. If you don,t think right, you will never do it right and if you you don,t do it right, you will never get it right.
Have you been battling with wrong thought not knowing how to do away with it. Well here are some things that could help. Until the way you think changes, you will never change "for as he thinketh in his heart so is he" proverbs 23v7. Infact our thinking capacity really matters alot in our success in life,
a wise man said, "becarful what you think for you will soon have it" In life, you automatically becomes what you think, because its the mind that controls every other sense organ of the body. Hear this, "what a man thinks of himself, that is which determines or indicates his fate" David Thorean. Also , "its your minds worth that will make the world to mind you" so take control of your mind. And think right.
1) Desire
you must desire to think right. What you don,t desire, you don,t deserve. Proverb28v1.
2)Be born again 2cor5v17. When you give your life to Jesus and make him lord over your life, God take over your life.
3) Read, study and meditate on the word of God. Joshua1v8.
4) See yourself in the mirror of God's word. Don,t allow people's opinion affect your mind and mood. Have faith .
5)Avoid negative people, places and talks. Stay with positive and faith-talk people. Stay with people that appreciate you and add value to your life. You don,t need a dozen of friends to have a friend, you just need a friend that is worth a dozen of friends
6) Read good and anointed books and keep right company. As a wise man will say, "we will be the same except for the books we read and the company we keep"
7)Be open to laughter and humor. Prov17v22.
8) Trust no man. Put your trust only on God. Man will always disappiont, even your daddy.
9)Never keep your mind empty as its said "a empty mind is the devil's workshop. So pray, play, read, meditate. Give no room for negativity. Anytime they come, cast it out and speak it loud. EPH10v5.
10) practice positive self-talk.
The American heart association discussed the important of self-talk, either loud or simply on your mind. Be quick to identify negative thoughts and replace them with positive ones.
Goodluck. Hope this help. Like us on www.facebook.com/potentials activators drivers.

the mystery of starting small

START SMALL
starting small does not disprove your dreams for greatness; neither does it means that you are slothful or indolent.
in fact the holy bible said many about starting small. zech4:10 ''do not despise these small beginning for the lord rejoice to see the work begin"
it simply means beginning from somewhere to get to somewhere.
many in the bid to make progress in life  have been deceived into thinking that they must start big to make it big, and that is why so many are stagnated and frustrated today refusing to take a step, because they consider what they have, where they are, or what they have is too small to achieve what they want.
''My definition of the word ''big'' is ''small'' plus ''small'' plus ''small'' to infinity. addition is what leads to completion" David O. Abioye
Maybe you have been envying this great icon ALIKO DANGOTE.
Dangote group started as a SMALL trading firm right from the year 1977, Today it is no longer small but a multi-trillion naira conglomerate with many operations in Benin, Ghana, Nigeria and Togo. Presently Dangote has enlarged his area of business to also cover food processing, cement manufacturing and freight. it is also important to note that Dangote group also dominates the sugar market in Nigeria. as a matter of fact, its the major sugar supplier to the country's soft drink companies and breweries and confectioners. Besides this achievements, Dangote group has also moved from being a trading company to being the largest industrial group in Nigeria And the man Dangote is being ranked today by Forbes magazine as the 43rd richest man in the world and the richest in Africa with a net worth of us 20billion dollars. That's a man that began small.
For me, those who begin small end big and those who begin big if not careful, ends small.
"Great things often start small, it does not take long time for a change to occur, it only takes understanding the strategies and working them" David O. Abioye.
BENEFIT OF STARTING SMALL.....1)you build a solid foundation. 2)stability. 3)stress-free progress.

There can be no development without peace.”

X Factor electrifies audience with massive X stage
The grand stage and set of the world’s biggest singing reality TV show, X Factor, has been the object of admiration and discussion amongst live audiences of the show since the unveiling of the top nine contestants last week in Lagos.
The show is brought to Africa for the first time by telecoms giant, Globacom, and contestants have performed on the masterpiece X Factor stage, following months of auditions in Lagos, Port Harcourt, Abuja in Nigeria and Kumasi and Accra in Ghana.
The stage is massive and built to international standards.
The stage is built around an impressive “X” that is creatively lit internally with LED lights, which also frames one of the largest LED screens in West African productions.
The lighting rig is impressively on a scale seldom seen in West African productions and includes some of the latest technology used in international productions. Of notable interest is the use of 12 Sharpies to create a dynamic sweep of light across the stage and audience.
Fanning out on either side of the “X” is a strip of LED screens that pulsate with bright colours and graphics throughout the show. The set has a large thrust that picks up on the angles of the “X” and projects the artists out into the audience and onto the judges who are sitting at their signature X Factor desk.
According to some members of the audience, the stage is indescribable and beyond anything they had seen in this part of the world.
Despite the magnificence of the stage, more glamour was added when it was opened for the second gala show with large chandeliers hanging above massive, glace floor.

my success story, by David O. Oyedepo

"WHEN GOD MAKES A KINGDOM DEMAND ON YOU, IT IS SO HE CAN ADD COLOR TO YOUR DESTINY" DAVID O. OYEDEPO

When we were to start the church planting, there was a great need for money; but the offerings that came in were inadequate. It was an opportunity for me. As i sat down discussing the matter with God, he said to me, " My son, give me you car" I knew it was God speaking to me.
When i told my wife what the lord has told me, she simply said, "Praise the Lord" That was is! So, i called one of my staff and ordered him to drive it straight to the car dealers and let it go. It was a Mercedes Benz 280. From that moment, the car left my heart, my mind and my head. i was so exited, i felt very privileged. After that sacrifice; i was going home one day when the lord spoke to me and said 'My son David, if you don,t want to be rich, is too late!" GOD swore to me as he swore to Abraham in Genesis 22.

POINT TO NOTE AND PONDER
1) He made a sacrifice for the kingdom sake, Matthew 6v33, Genesis22;12, 15-18,
2) He gave it willingly and cheerfully 2corin 9;7, 1corin9;17

"If you do what i do, you will see the same result that i see" David O. Oyedepo

THE THREE KIND OF PEOPLE

                                        THE THREE KINDS OF PEOPLE

The world is full of different kinds of  people with their different views, opinions, strategies, and gift and what have you..
Here i will be sharing with you the three major kind of people in the world today.

And i will be taking my text from the gospel of John chapter 5 verse 1-9.
The Holy bible is the manual of our daily lives and as well our foundational base in life. It was given by the inspiration of the Almighty God for our reproof, correction and instruction that you and i may be made perfect unto all good works 2tim3:16-17
The bible also is the word of God which happens to be the wisdom of God, and they contain the secrets of God which is been reveal to the sons of God on a daily basis mark 4:11, through the help of the holy spirit.
"Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market" The world is a market place, some are selling , some are buying, some are stand by observers., some are going (dead) while some are coming ( birth) but the thing is it just getting busy and interesting everyday.
"...Having five porches.." The sellers, The buyers, The helpers, The escorts and the viewers

"In this lay a great multitude of impotent folk" Maybe you don't know about this before, Every one man out there has at least one problem or the other is facing at the moment, circumstances arise everyday. many are buffeted afflicted and battered  and that's why i will always say, "we all need help" and that is why we go to church to seek help and deliverance from God, psalm34:19. you don,t have to be blind to know you are sick, poverty is a sickness, ignorance is a greater sickness, so in this market(the world) lay a great multitude of impotent folk.
"Waiting for the moving of the water" In Gen 1:2-3, the bible recorded that the earth was without form and void even after creation, and the spirit of God move upon the face of the water and God said.. the spirit always go before the word comes. The water here symbolize the word of God  john 4v4. and it takes the spirit of God to move it for it to become effective 2cor3:6b, don't forget it is the spirit of God that gathered it, Isaiah34:16. it is the movement of the spirit of God in the water( the word of God ) that causes the change. man is a spirit being remember, but to be carnally minded is dead. we must always be in the spirit to get the things of the spirit. you can only be in the spirit to hear from God. Rev1v10
1)"for an angel went down at a certain season into the pool to troubled the water" this is the first kind of people... the spirit-filled, the word full, the ones that troubled the word of God(the water) they are the ones with the ideas because they are the ones the secret is reveal to, because they search...inspiration and ideas drops from heaven on them

2)"whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in water was made whole" The bandwagon or first-timers, the front liners. There are the set of people that immediately the water is been troubled, they jump in, immediately the idea comes, they jump in and follow suit and they benefit greatly from it. for example, someone inverted a mobile phone, today we have so many companies manufacturing phones and they are doing well, applying their own technique and strategies  by the idea of one man others benefited

3)"And a certain man was there , which had an infirmity of thirty eight years"  This are the set of people i called the well-wishers, the waiters. " If wishes were horses, beggars will ride"
This man has waited for thirty eight solid years, just two years left for him to enter into the stage of foolishness, he was wasting without knowing, if not that Jesus appeared. this are the set of people that are scared of taking responsibilities, they are always on the receiving side, always expecting everything.  they complaint  about anything, murmuring and always looking for who to put blames on and who to help them, or some manner to drop from above for them, it doesn't work that way. yes bible says we should wait, but waiting without working is wasting without knowing.
Now hear what this man said when Jesus ask him " sir i have no man,,," you don,t need any man, you need God. "woe to them.." Isaiah 31v1, if you put your trust in man, you will die for free, people are too busy worrying about themselves and their own problems. some may help but you will have to wait for long. Stop waiting and start working. how i wish Jesus didn't come, this man would have wasted his entire life on earth.

Now that you have know this friends, where do you belong, among the spirit-filled, the bandwagon or the well wishers? retrace your step and take a step. life is a race, don,t just run, run to win.
                           thanks for reading this.........................................

Three Reasons why Christians compromise:

1.covetousness. Don,t be control by your desires or by your wants, fashions and lifestyle. Be contented. Luke12v15.

3.lack of dream and vision. Prov29v18.

Five ways to manage your finance.

 1. spend wisely. Buy only what is needed not what you desire. "if you buy things you don,t need, you will soon sell things you need" warren buffett.
2. Pay yourself first. Set aside money for your future goals. Saving.
3. Think big, be persistent and patient.
4. Limit what you borrow. Borrowing, does,t make you rich. A debt free life is the best life.
5. Assess the risk.
