secret of abundance

The Secret Of Abundance
And Why So Many Believe They Can't Have It

By Chuck Danes
The Secret Of Abundance is often thought of by many as a "secret" or that it's just not possible.

And you know, it never ceases to amaze me when talking with people regarding living life to the fullest, the broad and diverse range of responses I receive due to how people perceive that it must happen. Due to how most think it must happen, is perhaps the greatest reason why most never experience abundance for themselves.

When it comes to money, the majority believe that you must work longer, harder, or be luckier than the next person if you are to ever achieve any type of financial security. It is a common belief that "money is hard to come by," or "money doesn’t grow on trees."

Although I have never actually seen a money tree, the concept of wealth creation is much easier than most can even conceive or imagine. And that's where the problem lies. In what most are choosing to conceive and imagine.

The reality is that money is at it's core, the same as everything else. On the surface, money is nothing more than a medium of exchange. And like everything else, money can be quite simply and quite easily be attracted if one knows and understands the simple laws and principles that are responsible for drawing it to us.

Obviously money isn’t the only aspect of living a wholesome, fulfilling and abundant life, although many will disagree.

To live a truly abundant life, there are actually 3 areas that are essential if one is to really enjoy life to the fullest.

These 3 key areas are Money, Health, and Relationships.

With that in mind let's talk about money.

If you had $30,000,000.00 but your health was such that you couldn’t get out of the house to enjoy it, it would have little value. If you had the same amount of money and phenomenal health but no one to share it with, it would be nothing but worthless paper.

By the same token, if you were absolutely broke, enjoyed healthy relationships and outstanding health, it would be impossible to fully enjoy all the things that money can buy and do for those you love whatever you would like whenever you'd like. Correct?

It’s true that the majority in the world, perceive that lack and/or limitation in one or more of the three key areas of life is just how things are.

Many hope for it. Many more wish for it. Others dream about it but true abundance is only enjoyed by the minority.

But why is that? There certainly is no lack whatsoever.

With regard to money, it has been estimated that if the worlds wealth were divided among the people of the world equally, there would be enough for every single person alive, children included, to live in a 3000 square foot home and have $7,000,000.00 in cash!

Why is it that some seem to have more than they could possibly need, while others scrape by from day to day just to pay the bills and keep food on the table?

Actually, the answer is quite simple, and the simplicity of it will astound you. And that's part of the problem as well. The simplicity. Many shun the concept based on and due to the simplicity behind it all.

And as a result MOST never experience the abundance that is everyone's birthright.

Do you know what the reason is? It’s called thoughts and emotions. These 2 incredibly powerful aspects of your mind are what determines what you have or don’t have. Are the difference between living a life of overflowing abundance or barely getting by.

How can that be? Beliefs plain and simple. It is our beliefs that determine the quality of our thoughts and emotions. And that's what determines everything else.

Have you ever thought about why you believe what you believe? Have you ever considered where those beliefs came from?

All beliefs are established, for the most part, when we are just young children. They're handed down to us based on the experiences of our parents, and what they were taught and came to believe as being "true" in their life.

As life goes on, we accumulate and establish many more beliefs based on who we associate with, what our teachers tell us, the type of church we attend and what our particular religion teaches us is real, right, and true.

And life begins to unfold pretty much as we believe it will. But does it make it true? Does an experience or series of experiences make what we believe definitively true?

NO!!

One of the ancient texts makes it very clear. "As we believe we receive."

We solidify these beliefs when something happens in our life that supports what we were taught, regardless of their validity, and they then become our reality. Once this happens it becomes a deeply embedded memory picture which leads to an endless circle; a "seemingly inescapable" cycle as we experience the same results over and over and over again.

Many people believe that the occurrences that happen in their day to day lives happen because that is "Just the way life is." And for them that becomes and in many cases remains absolutely true. They remain "seemingly trapped" within the very same "seemingly inescapable cycles" proclaiming that life is a struggle is "true."

What many fail to realize is that the reason that these things happen as they do is because that is what they are attracting to themselves through their belief system.

That is how our universe was created as well as how it continues to expand, thrive and exist. And is all very simple. It has been proven scientifically, and known and talked about for thousands of years by the mystics, sages, masters and many lay people in the spiritual circles.

Many man made religions of today teach that you must do certain things or act in certain ways if you are to accomplish or accumulate. Basically, that you must be good.

We're told and taught what "good is" and we're told and taught what "bad" is. We're told and taught a lot of things. And we believe them.

In many cases, as we engage in life, our conscious mind consistently searches for memory pictures that are of limitless capacity and over time are safely tucked away in the data storehouse referred to as the subconscious mind.

The conscious mind searches for these "learned ways of being" which are further supported, solidified and validated by our life encounters and what turn out to be real life experiences.

And the conscious mind always does what it was designed to do and searches to find a record that has been stored at some point in the past. Many times these memory pictures are retrieved from many years prior gong all the way back to birth.

previously taught to us by well meaning parents or loved ones, teachers, governments, institutions, the list goes on and on. And although much of what we're told, taught and at some point believe that determine our established beliefs which we act out and carry with us through life.

And it's those beliefs combined with the many experiences we encounter which lie at the foundation of everything we attract in the way of events, conditions, circumstances, relationships, etc etc. and with unfailing and unwavering certainty manifest in our lives making our reality all the more real and true.

But much of what we've been taught isn't based on a Higher Truth. Yet at the same time, Higher Truth always provides what we believe it will.

The point?

The only "secret to abundance" is making a conscious choice to develop and establish a Higher Truth than the one acquired and currently held.

Many doubt the validity and simplicity only because it goes against the common belief systems that have been established and which they been taught to believe as being true.

In an attempt to validate what I am sharing, I’ll use the following example…

Many are familiar with the name, Roger Bannister. For those that aren’t, Mr. Bannister is the man that broke the all time record of running a 4 minute mile, on May 6th 1954.

Until the time that he accomplished that incredible feat, it was believed to be Impossible, and beyond a humans limited capacity to do so. Even psychologists said that it was beyond human comprehension or any humans ability to do so.

That was the common belief of that day, and so it was.

That is until Roger Bannister came along, who broke the previous world record, and finished in an amazing 3 minutes 59.4 seconds!

Once it was found that such a thing actually could be accomplished, that record has since been broken many times! The most recent in 2001 in an incredible 3 minites 43.13 seconds, by Hicham El Guerrouj.

How Is That Possible!? According to the world, even 4 seconds wasn’t possible. It was impossible. According to the most respected psychologists of Bannister’s day, it was Impossible. And so it was. Until someone had established the belief; the Higher Truth that it could be done, it was impossible.

Until someone had established a strong enough belief that would change history, it was and remained impossible. Since that day in 1954, many have seen that it was possible and had the desire and ability to shed the self limiting belief that held them to that limiting belief. Many since have broken that impossible record!

I could reference hundreds if not thousands of cases in all walks of life that support what is being conveyed, but I don’t have room within this article.

Look at your own life. You don’t have to be a track star to create whatever it is that you desire in your life. You don’t have to be someone else to achieve whatever you desire and enjoy more abundance in your life than you could have ever previously imagined. You don’t have to be anything other than yourself.

So what is the secret to abundance? Great news. There isn’t one. There never has been. With the exception of choosing to enhance what you believe to be true.

All that is necessary to attract all the abundance you could ever hope for, is for you to shed the self limiting beliefs that you have adopted, accepted and allowed to be stored as your truth. All that is required is that you develop an awareness of the overflowing abundance and unlimited potential provided to you by the Source of all that is or ever will be whatever you might perceive that Source to be.

The only thing required to attract whatever you desire, is that you become aware of the importance of retraining the subconscious mind.

All that is needed, is for you to change your beliefs about what is possible for you.

You have the power to choose what to believe. You have the power to choose what to think.

Change your beliefs and you will change your world.

Here's The Secret of Having Everything You Want
By Guy Finley

Everyone wonders whether or not there is one great secret for truly successful living. There is. And it is not a secret. It has been quietly, steadily telling itself right in front of us all along. We just couldn't hear it over the clatter and chatter of our own secret demands. Listen quietly for a moment. Everything can change right now. Learning to hear this supreme secret is no more difficult than choosing whether to swim against a current or to let it carry you safely to the shore. Let it speak its wisdom to that secret part of you that can not only hear what it is saying but that is, in reality, its very voice. Listen to it now. It is saying, "Want What Life Wants." Think about it. Locked within these four simple words is the secret of an uncompromising power for effortless living; a new kind of power that never fails to place you on the winning side of any situation. Why? Because when you want what Life wants, your wish is for Life itself.
"What if I don't like what life brings to me?"
"Try to see that it is not what life has brought to you that you don't like. It is your reactions that turn the gift of life into the resentment of it."
"I don't want to sound ungrateful, but speaking plainly, I'm tired of being unhappy. What difference does it make why I feel this way?"
"Because these unhappy feelings are born out of life failing to conform to your ideas of what you need to be happy. This shows you, if you will see it, that Life itself isn't denying you happiness. It is your ideas about life that have failed you. Give up these wrong ideas instead of giving up on life. Be increasingly willing to see they are nothing but a constant source of conflict. Your false nature will tell you that you must have these self-protecting ideas; that you can't live without them or you will lose something valuable. What you must do, in spite of any such protest to the contrary, is to see that you can't live with them. All you will lose is your unhappiness."
Here are two lists that will not only make these life-healing ideas more personal for you, but they will help you to help yourself make a higher choice when it comes to what you really want from life. It would be valuable to study then compare the lists to each other. You may wish to add to either list some of your own insights, which I highly encourage you to do.
Let's look at what happens "When You Want What You Want":
1. You are often nervous and anxious because life may not cooperate with your plans.
2. You are willing to sacrifice whatever it takes to get what you want, and this may include your integrity.
3. You are usually scheming in some way to win your next victory.
4. You are either in a battle or recovering from one.
5. You are unable to rest quietly when you need to.
6. You are easily angered when someone or something gets in your way.
7. You are forever driven to want something else.
8. You are against anyone else who also wants what you want.
9. You are certain that what you have is who you are.
10. You are always trying to convince yourself that you got what you want.
Now carefully consider the following. "When You Want What Life Wants":
1. You are never disappointed with what happens.
2. You are always in the right place at the right time.
3. You are quietly confident no matter what the circumstances.
4. You are out of the reach of anger and anxiety.
5. You are awake and sensitive to your surroundings.
6. You are free of ever feeling as though you've missed out.
7. You are never thrown for a loss.
8. You are in total command of events.
9. You are mentally quiet.
10. You are eternally grateful.
"Is there a simple guideline to follow when it comes to distinguishing between what Life wants and what I want? How can I easily tell which is which?"
"Always remember the following. If any want is the source of anxiety or sorrow, that want is yours and not Life's. If the want has pain, it is in vain. To let real Life flood in, pull yourself out of the flood of self-wants that promise a future pleasure but only deliver a present pain."
"How do I pull myself out of the flood of my own wants?"
"See that you are being washed away by them and you will grow tired of being bounced along. Here is a key. Never accept the presence of any mental or emotional suffering as necessary, no matter how much importance these impostors lend to a particularly pressing want. By refusing their dark presence, you make space for the present moment to give you its indefinable presence. This is where the Life that you want -- and that wants you -- is waiting."
"All of what you have said makes good sense. To tell the truth, I would like to let go and let Life lead, but I'm afraid. What will happen to me if I give up my demands? Won't I lose control of my life?"
"You cannot lose control of something you never had control over in the first place. No human being controls life -- his or hers or anyone else's. If it weren't for higher cosmic energies coming down, filling and animating your body right now, you couldn't be holding this book in your hands or reading its words. If you want to measure the level of an individual's stress, measure his insistence that life does as he wants. The only thing you will lose by learning to want what life wants is your fear of not being in control -- which was never real control in the first place but only the sensation of it born out of living with its painful opposite."
Here is the most important point of all. No human being needs control over life because, in reality, no one is apart from it. Who you really are, your True Nature, is not separate from life.
Let Life bring you itself. Welcome it. At each instant, it is new, full -- untouched and undiminished by any moment before it. To enter into this full relationship with Life is to give yourself to your Self. Fulfilling the true purpose of Life is fulfilling yourself. Here are five special key lessons to help you want what Life wants.
1. Nothing can be released and resisted at the same time, which means that any attempt to reject some weakness detected in us is the same as protecting it.
2. True nobility is not a question of birth right or social rank; it is the native estate of each soul that, upon awakening to its divine inheritance, knows the strength of these twin truths without having to think about them: justice and mercy are one, as are love and fearlessness.
3. Nothing judges you; it is what you love -- and that love alone -- that either persecutes you, or stands by you in your hour of need.
4. Whoever serves what he or she fears has failed to see that all they win for their service is to become more fearful.
5. We can spend our time struggling, in vain, to make others into what we want them to be, or we can see the inherent flaw in thinking this way and -- rather than trying to change others to suit our needs -- see through the false idea that someone else is responsible for our fulfillment.
